Europe Trip

May 18, 2012

I spend most of my summers in Europe, and this year Thomas will be joining my dad and I for 19 days there. We are heading into Prague and traveling around from there. Hopefully we can climb a few country highpoints and see some sights too. For now, we have been checking out Rysy (Poland), Gerlach (Slovakia), Zugspitze (Germany), and Triglav (Slovenia). Each of these peaks has its own challenges, but they all have the issue of heavy snowfall this winter in Europe. A heatwave melted a lot of the snow in Early May, but new storms have brought in fresh powder. Hopefully we can manage to bag a few of these peaks and see the cities as well.

The sky clears after the storm on Rysy.
